Live! From London, England

Ah! London, England! Harrods! Buckingham Palace! Big Ben! Westminster Abbey! And many more
Well, we've gone to see all the places said above, and have plenty of pics :p unfortunately, our net cafe around here doesn't have slots for sd cards, and I didn't bring the USB cables for both cameras X-p so, unfortunately, I can't upload any photos at the moment... I will do when I get back to NZ though, or if I get a wireless connection to my laptop (which I'll probably do at an airport somewhere)

We also got back from Rome, and its a really nice place! So many statues, paintings, monuments... after a while, it just gets to ya :p now everytime I stand, I pose like a statue, inadvertently.
Seriously. Not on purpose. Totally.
Right now, I'm stuck on The Thinker, thinking of what to blog about...
Well, the Vatican Museum is amazing! I don't really know how to describe it, so you'll just have to wait for photos :p The Sistine Chapel = mindblowing! I wonder how much time it took just to create one painting, let alone the whole place!
And besides pictures, I also got an AS Roma jersey :p my souvenir from Rome
We had to hunt down the official and first retail shop to open for Roma, and we finally found it! Took us ages though... The lady at the shop was really nice too, she gave me a free autographed photo of Francesco Totti! But I'm not a Totti fan hehe didn't tell her that though, who knows what kind of wrath I might incur (especially Italian women, whooooo damn you don't wanna get on their bad side).

Now, we're in London, so I'm gonna try and look for a Liverpool retailer :p although so far, attempts have been fruitless... Plenty of Chelsea stores though, no Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal (not that I care much about the former 2 anyway)
!Update!
Visited the Nike store on Oxford St., found some Man Utd. stuff but all the jerseys were sold out, only the sleeveless training jerseys and away jerseys are available
Haven't checked out the Adidas store yet though, will do soon for Liverpool stuff :D

Of Friends and Relatives
We first met up with my dads sister, our Aunty C (I couldn't say her name, Cecilia, when I was young, so Aunty C just stuck), and she showed us how to use the London Underground
We also met up with my cousin once removed (our grandparents were siblings), and it was nice knowing we have relatives we don't even know about... We met her when we met up with my dads old friend (and also sorta cousin in law) whom he went to uni with here in England, and its quite fun to know I also have a cousin with a really English accent :p its also funny how many English people I've managed to trick into thinking I'm English hehe I didn't think I'd get away with an English accent but apparently I can!

Anyways
I'll try and blog again (yes, so I said i would resurrect this derelict of a blog, sue me, good things take time :p ) but it might be hard to, especially if I'm gonna be in France and if they don't have a net cafe in English (then, I'll be even more screwed)... gonna have to learn a decent amount of French (thankfully, someones taught me how to say a few things in French, so at least I know I won't be stuck if I ever wanted to know where the toilet was or where the Eiffel Tower is...)
Anyways, this is me, signing off, will tell of more adventures and hopefully won't have bloggers block when I write it!

A new day! A new dawn! A new blog!

And with this latest post, i intend to resurrect this derelict of a blog and hopefully attract people back to reading of the goings on in the life of me.
It could, however, get abandoned again =p although I'll try not to
Life's just tough and busy though...

Whats been goings on?

Well, I gots me a new job with commish =D working at Hill & Stewart Electronics
Its decent paying, and I get to play around with technology
Cameras, TVs, fridges, ovens, washing machines, home theatre systems, coffee machines, popcorn makers... the list just goes on
So yeah, the more I sell, the more commish I get
The people there are cool too, everyone works pretty well with each other 'cept for a few (its complicated)
And I gots a new laptop!
Works so much faster than the old Toshiba A40 (which also acts as a multipurpose heater/dryer for those cold, wet days)
Its great having something without a massive lag =) and without sounding like a jet engine preparing for take off...

Uni is back again
Its my last year though! Unless I intend to stay on to do a conjoint or post grad stuff...
I might actually start working first, and think of post grad stuff later
Career options? What do I want to do in the future?
I really don't know... But definitely something that doesn't involve me doing office work or staying in a 3x3m cubicle!
I don't know why, but I'm just not the type to sit in one place and do work without having to at least run around or walk or do something physical =p

Essays suck...
But accomplishing one in 5 hours before it was due is, well...
Stupid, in a sense, I should have started it earlier, but c'mon, people gotta give me kudos =)
Just had 2 weeks of holidays, and the first week back to uni doesn't seem so bad yet...
But maybe its because I've have someone special to cheer me up this time
Brightens up my day everytime I see her...

And I just did it again, another essay in 7 hours (this time though, I actually *think* I wrote decently).
My last essay got me a B+ by the way, so fingers crossed for an A+ :p

And whaddya know
Its nearly exams again... I haven't blogged at all since my last exams!
Haha, talk about slack, and I think my lil convo box thing died twice too...

Update: I'm going to Europe!
Yes, I'm going to Europe.
Yes, I'm going to England, Rome, Italy, France.
No, I am not bringing back cheap weed from Amsterdam.
Will post pics on photobucket, and here too, if I get a decent internet connection...
I can't wait for it, but at the same time, I don't want to leave :(
It sucks when you can't have both ways...

Anyways, til later! Hopefully people will start coming back to read this blog :p meh

Exams suck!

And I'm glad they're over!
Overall, wasn't too bad, I only felt reeeaaally reaaallly bad on one exam
Unfortunately, I assumed it was gonna be easy (or semi-easy, at least)
Turns out, I was wrong (which makes me feel stupid-er)
It was a really fun class, no doubt about that
(Besides the fact that my presentation group members were lazy asses)
I mean, what kind of class lets you put this video

in a presentation?
It was just my luck that my computer decided to die on the weekend before the presentation (I spent days prepping it!)
So, just a day before my presentation, I decided to just add the video to waste time
(It had to be about 45 minutes to and hour long, and not boring. Otherwise, heck, I'd fall asleep while I was talking.)
Oh well, what can ya do...

And just for hilarity:
Dr. Acula!

Seriously, why would anyone in the world would not wanna watch Scrubs?

Anyway, its gonna be a great summer!
Things are already in motion, plans have been made, and people will be humiliated!
I'll explain more in a couple of days, I wouldn't wanna ruin it in case anyone in particular reads about this :p
Think balloons in big boxes :D

Currently:
Reading: Watership Down
Its about bunnies. That talk. And surprisingly, its really interesting.
Yes, you may think I sound mad
"Bunnies? Rabbits that actually talk? Are you RETARDED?"
No, I'm not. Well, partially not. I think.
But seriously, it is a good book.
Plus its got bunnies.

Wanting to watch:
Oh, so many movies.
The Grudge 2 - Yes, yes, I know its more retarded than me on a swing, but I can't resist horror movies. Being exposed to the Resident Evil games when I was young didn't really help.
The Prestige - Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman duke it out. Magician styles. I can't believe I just said that. Magician styles. Damn.
The Departed - Well, people are saying it isn't as good as Infernal Affairs (the original Hong Kong movie) but still, worth watching (seeing as I wouldn't understand much Infernal Affairs anyway)
Saw 3 - The entire series has more twists than M. Night Shyamalalamalamalamalalan on a good day. Oh, and its got better deaths apparently.
Borat: Incredibly Long Title Which I Forgot - Jagshemash! That all I need to say
Jackass 2 - After most of it being told to me by Laura, I kinda don't wanna watch it now... *Contains full frontal nudity of a certain Wee-Man, and horses*

And everyone needs to check out the awesome 80s action movie guide!
The 80s Action Guide!
Homoeroticism at its best!

Paintball...

... was, as usual, painful
I'll let the pictures and video tell
But basically, I got shot alot (I even got shot in the ass)
Would have been a few welts less, if Mathu hadn't been so cheap and kept on shooting at me after I tagged him out!

It didn't help when they were poking me either
Ignore the commentary by the way (or turn the volume down low)
Best part of the game was probably when I Mathu and I ran up and just started blasting each other. And yes, I totally got him first! Mathu, if you're reading this, I got you fair and square! And you should've stopped shooting! But NOOoooOOO! You had to keep on shooting! ARGH!

Ok, thats my rant over, now on to the other things

Back to uni...

...*sigh* back to the same old get-up-at-6-am-to-get-to-an-8am-class routine
Assignments! Research! Essays! I can't do it anymore!
And yet I still find time o go to the gym and blog...

And also look at random crap from bashed.org :
67% of girls are stupid
i belong with the other 13%

"There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't."
That's only 2 types of people, kow.
STUPID

Kits and cats...

... we have 4 new kits (kits = baby rabbits)! Looks like the mommy rabbit can take care of its lil kids after all :p they came out after I left for uni, early Monday morning, all nice and furry like!
And, observing a perfect example of Mendelian genetic probability

Theres a black one!

Twin grey ones! (well, I don't know if rabbits can have twins or not...)

And a white one!

So relieved that they made it through, but now I'm just constantly worried about them because there are cats in our area!
And since these guys are smaller than the adults, they'll be able to scurry around and find cracks or holes under the fences and may very well venture to our neighbours gardens...
But I've looked over everything and have tried to block or seal most of the cracks or holes, so hopefully all is well and they don't escape to somewhere unsafe
Now, I just have to get some cat repellant...
Honestly, I'm just so worried about them... they're just so small and defenseless, I'd hate to think if one of them were to die...

Anyway, I better go check on them now, just to see how they're doing, and maybe do a head count to see if they're all there!

Holiiiiidays!

Ah, 2 weeks of holi-studybreak-days...
University sure takes the fun out of having time off
Unfortunately, the very first monday of our 2 week break involved me going into uni, printing out my metaphysics essay, getting a coversheet, and handing it into the Fisher Building, and then going all the way back home.
(Just for those not in the know, it takes at least about 45 minutes to get into uni by bus from out where I live, and more so during peak time)
A few hours of my life gone, just to hand in my assignment.
A few hours that I could have spent eating.
Or sleeping.
Or eating in my sleep.
Or watching this flash.
http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/film/empireflash.html
"But why didn't you hand it in on the friday before you idiot?" I hear you say
Well, I took that Friday off, plain and simple.
For health reasons of course.
The main health reason being that if I didn't actually take that day off, you'd expect me to be comatose from exhaustion. My mind would've just switched off and burnt itself away.
Try placing a banana in a microwave, and heat on high for 10 minutes.
Let it simmer.
Serves 4.
That would be a rough portrayal of what my mind would look like. 'Cept with a lil bit more mush. And pink.
Don't even get me started on work stuff I have to assignment do.
*Sigh* The first of cracking me up, maybe going insanity from pressurisationness.
Can't I even put together a sentence cohesiveness.
Zebras don't Charlie goggles Worthingtonhouser!

Um, talk something abouting something else!
Dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs, riding on dinosaurs, hunting dinosaurs! Rarrr! I feel idiot!

An aerial view of the soon-to-occur dinosaur massacre!

The Giffords 20th...

... was absolutely what I needed. Specially since I didn't do anything else on that Friday (I couldn't even sleep, possibly due to the fact that I was lying on my pillow which had been drenched by a glass of water I accidentally tipped over the night before and had not bothered to change).
Anyway.
Dominic + Cake - Fork = This

Sujie + Empty beer box = This too

Another random, yet insightful, article from PointlessWastOfTime.com

http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/misery.html
My html skills are limited and I can't be bothered making that a proper click link, and thus I apologise for it, but all you need to do is copy and paste it into ur browser.
I'm lazy, but you shouldn't be.

And we have a drum kit!

Now, we can fully terrorise the rest of the neighbourhood!
Coupled with the might of our electric guitar, piano, as well as the many different types of air guitar, we shall be an unstoppable force of ultimate RAWWWWWKZOR!
Please, feel free to stop me if I'm getting a bit too carried away.

Paintball!

Happening tomorrow, will post up pics and stuff when I get them, tell ya'll bout it tomorrow!

And here I am again...

... back at the Blogspot dashboard.
Apologies (Yes, I've done this many times) for not blogging much, but university work.
Yeah, you know the drill.
But, if anything, my papers this semester are a tad more interesting. Well, except for Psych201: Perception and Cognition.
Psych204, Social Psych, is so far the most interesting paper I've taken, dealing with things ranging from mate selection to attitudes and behaviour, from attraction to aggression.
You get to learn things like the Halo Effect.
Basically, the Halo Effect is a common belief that attractive individuals possess a host of many other positive qualities beyond their physical appearance.
Various experiments have been done to show that good looking individuals, depicted in photographs, were perceived as happier, more intelligent, and more popular, and to have more desirable personalities, higher incomes, and more professional success (Bar-Tal & Saxe, 1976). (This is good practice for my essay writing since I got snapped for 'PlAGiaRiSM' in my last Psych essay. They're pretty pissy about things like this)
The only consistent negative inferences about the photographs were that they were often perceived as immodest, and are less likely to be good parents, and for the women, sad to say, were thought of as vain or materialistic (Podratz, Halverson & Dipboye, 2004).
And thats why you see billboards of good looking models, posing for your favourite sunglasses/clothes/cars. Its a sign of well being, success, a marketing campaign to entice the masses to buy their product.
And it works.
Why am I telling you this?

Metaphysics...

... is killing me. Is there a God? Is time forever? What is infinity? Lets try defining infinity! Oh, no wait, how about we try defining what the Laws of Nature are first! Or even better, lets try and confuse the heck out of everyone by giving really retarded examples of 'true' Laws of Nature! But wait! Can there really be a 'true' Law of Nature?! Lets talk about God! To infinity! And Beyond! wrhyhgbvhbyhgb!

Environmental Science...

... is actually kinda cool. I mean, at least I don't have to learn about Metaphysics.
Our first field project was to, basically, go bird watching, and figure out how bird species' diversity and density differs between an urban area and a park environment.
Well, heck, if you couldn't figure this one out, you shouldn't even be allowed into uni. Urban environement = more birds, less diversity, park environment = less birds, more diversity.
Easy.
Peasy.
Lemon.
Squeezy.
The more interesting part of the field project (we did it in the space of 4 days, 2 in one week and 2 in another) was when we were out looking for Pukeko out in Auckland Domain.
Well, we ventured into a semi-secluded part of the domain, where it was swampy and filled with thick bush and stuff, because thats basically where Pukeko live.
Anyway, after finding a couple of birds, we spotted a different kind of bird.
The human kind. A pair of them.
And they were doing something what mother nature would call, in our very aesthetic words, Boinking.
Or sexual reproduction.
Whatever suits you, Mr. Dictionary.
After the dawning realisation that we were perhaps in the wrong place at the wrong time, we promptly ushered our way out of that particular out-of-the-way place.
But then...
*CrACk*
I hate Murphy's Law.
Someone stepped on a branch, and it had to be the loudest cracking one ever.
Embarassment ensues.

Cowabunga, dudes!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a movie coming out!
Ghost Rider has a movie coming out!
Spider Man 3 is ages away, but will nonetheless, come out!
So many comic book movies nowadays, it just kinda makes you wonder where all the good stories are.
And I can't wait for Silent Hill to be out in NZ at the end of the month.
I don't get it, New Zealand's one of the first countries to have the sunlight, yet one of the last to get movies.

Mr. Pie smiles at you

Why...

... do all good movies come out around the same time?!

Click - Kate Beckinsale... mmmmm
Over The Hedge - Bruce Willis as a Raccoon, c'mon! Steve Carrell as Hammy the squirrel!
Superman Returns - Kate Bosworth... mmmmmm
3 Fast 3 Furious - I swear, thats the real name for the movie
Silent Hill - Possibly the only other decent horror flick to come out in a long time

Moneels 20th...

... wasn't planned so well (Mathu planned it, sorta, but didn't have a contingency plan in case something came up i.e. Moneels exam finishing early on the day we were suppose to prank him, so I had to come up with all the last minute shit). Will detail the plan in a later blog, no pics as of yet, cuz Mathu's n80 sucks and doesn't have a cable.

World Cup Football...

... this year has been kinda controversial
Too many red and yellow cards have been given out!
Portugals gonna miss Deco, and maybe even Cristiano Ronaldo (thigh injury) and Figo (may get suspended for bashing someone) :(
Spain is out... France actually beat Spain!
Zidane actually scored! I'm surprised he didn't just keel over and die from old age right there and then! Argh!
Well, on the plus side, it looks like Brazil is back to kick ass
Even old Chubbzy is back in form (partially, maybe... he's still really unfit). I'm referring to Ronaldo by the way.

*Update*

Brazil lose to France! The end is nigh!
And Rooney/Shrek is given a red card! For stomping on Carvalho's groin, as well as pushing C.Ronaldo.
Don't you think he somewhat deserved it? You don't push a guy in front of a ref!
But then C.Ronaldo was caught winking to his bench? And now hes getting kicked off Man Utd. Lucky that, cuz he'd be getting so much shit for getting Rooney into trouble that ROONEY caused.
Looks like Red Rooneys done it again.
Well, at least it'll be interesting to see Portugal play against France and Germany against Italy (I'm rooting for Portugal btw, and I really hope they beat France!).

And unfortunately, it looks like we won't be seeing much of this...

The RoboCrouch!

Heres various other funny World Cup pics

This blog...

... was originally intended to focus on my weird dreams, but, funnily enough, I never actually detailed many of them.
Most of my dreams I've forgotten, but there is one that I had and I still sorta remember. Happened a few days ago.

You read at your own peril. Don't blame me if your IQ drops by 50 points after this.

Ok, well, I find myself (well, I presume its myself, but seeing as I never see a mirror at all throughout the dream, I can only presume) on a cruise ship, sailing over some deep dark sea. It is night, and I'm on the starboard side, just looking out to the darkness. The cruise ship is old, signs of visible rust around splits and corners, abundant with creaking doors and the like.

I spot something in the horizon. A wave? No, its too big.
Wait. It IS a wave. HOLY. SHIT.
I run back inside, close the door and cower in fear.
For the next 2 hours or so, the ship is tipped over, people on the outside die, people on the inside die, people who were alive die, and a couple of survivors in my group die.
Kurt Russell also dies. By drowning.
Ok, well, that last part didn't happen, but I had to make reference to Poseidon somehow, seeing as I'm writing about a ship in the sea and all.
Yeah, anyway, rewind back to that part about me being on the ship before the big "HOLY. SHIT. wave".

I suddenly find myself walking around cautiously, slowly. At this point I (as in me dreaming) just realise that I'm a stowaway, and don't want to mess up and step on anybodies toes or anything. Where I'm headed for, why I'm on this particular ship, I don't know.
Anyway, I enter a massive gambling area. Surprisingly, it is a magnificent place, where everything is pristine, from the sparkling chandelier to the green of the gambling tables. I sit down at one table and start... well, gambling.
This is where it gets fuzzy cuz I don't exactly know what game I'm playing, or what I'm playing for. All I know is, the stakes were raised, right up to all or nothing, and I won.
Among the spoils was a box containing something, something very precious to another player, which, I guess, kinda angered him greatly, as he grabbed me by the collar and started calling me a cheater.
And thats when I realised that that person was the captain of the ship.
And he doesn't recognise me from the passenger manifest.
Thats also when suddenly everything went quiet, and it felt as if all eyes were on me. I ran like heck.
I scramble out of the room amidst inhuman shrieks, and I continue running until I get to one end of the ship.
I go past a door which leads me to some stairs. But these aren't just normal stairs, they're massive! A step would be about my shoulder height, and I scramble to climb up a whole flight.
After getting up to the first floor, I try to look into the doorway that leads to... heck, I can't remember. All I remember seeing thru that doorway was a long hallway with doors all the way down. It was clean and tidy nonetheless, but I figured I might not be so safe here, and so carry or climbing (literally) the stairs to higher floors.
The shrieks and laughter seem to get closer as I reach the second floor, and look into the doorway to the main area. I see the same hallway, with doors all around, except this time, its... dirtier, rustier, and bloodier (I think its blood, I'm not so sure cuz it may be rust... heck I don't know). I decide to climb up further.
On the 3rd floor, I swore I could hear the beating of wings, as I clambered onto the last step and looked into the last doorway. This one made me cringe.
There was blood on the walls, blood on paintings, blood on the windows, blood everywhere. Either that or the whole place had a serious rust problem.
Without a choice, I enter the hallway and take the first door to the right, and enter a room when...

... I wake up.
Yes, it is weird.
But thus is dreams.
And this all happened in a half hour nap.
